What is Owl Time?

In addition to providing students with intervention, enrichment or additional instruction, Owl Time also offers students the opportunity to develop as healthy and empowered learners by focusing on social-emotional learning, team building, goal setting, self-advocacy, self-monitoring, and time management skills.

Teachers will facilitate this time for students to support their learning, growth, and skill development for 35 minutes daily.

  • Sustained silent reading time

Tuesday

  • Social Emotional Learning check-in

  • Personalized Math Practice

Wednesday

  • Regular Weeks (no PLC late start)

    • Personalized science practice

  • PLC Late Start Weeks

    • Watch the Nest

    • Grade checks

    • Goal setting

Thursday

  • Social Emotional Learning check-in

  • Personalized reading practice

Friday

  • Owl Time reflection

  • Team building, healthy activities

  • Struggling students stay in work room to catch up or re-submit work
